Home for the Holidays…
There is no better feeling than waiting to spend time with family over the holidays…the very little time that goes by {and Christmas does fly by} I still am so excited to see the family I don’t get to see as often as we can. My brother and his wife along with my nephew came into town from PA and my little sister and her family came up from Columbus and we got to spend our Christmas at my sister’s house. Although we are still missing my sister and her family back in Oregon we make the most of it…. …My kids split there time with me and their father…

The Warmth of it All…
I am writing this blog post and looking at the soft glow of the warm sun and staring at the snow covered ground right now…Geez am I behind…but better late than never. I use “models” once in a while to try new locations and/or specific times during the day and I had the privilege of using the Hale kids…and Oh My Goodness!!! Were they adorable…and so into it…love it! Of course I am here to share all my favorites…but looking at all of them I am so missing the warm weather…especially since the majority of my past sessions this week has been in SNOW!…I welcome the new weather but…

The Gorgeous Jessie…
Here I am again trying to play catch up on my blog when I need to take a break from editing…I should be blogging…but for some reason other things get in the way…like laundry…and house cleaning…or a good soak in the hot tub {actually wish that happens more than it does too}…but I have every faith in myself I will get this blogging situation under control. Any hoo…here is sweet adorable Jessie…she is the aunt to that adorable newborn I just posted a little bit ago…looks like there are awesome genes running through that family! I had so much fun with Jessie and her mom during the photo shoot…

It Can’t Get Better Than This…
…there is nothing better than doing your job and then doing your job for family! I had the opportunity several times to photograph my niece Sydney…she was also the original face for Victoria Campbell Photography years ago and I just love having the privilege of capturing her every year and watch her grown into such a beautiful young woman. This year she is a high school senior…even though she is considered “new family” to me since meeting the hubs she nonetheless is family like they have been part of my entire life. We broke her senior session down into two sessions to take advantage of the seasons…spring and summer…the spring…

How Quickly a Year Goes….
I had the pleasure to document every step of Matteo’s first year…and now that he will be turning one I have decided to dedicate this post to him…his dark luscious locks are so darn cute and that so stinkin cute face of his just makes you stare at him in “aw”…and no wonder he’s so flipping adorable…just check out his parents…Gorgeous! I have a cake smash session coming up this week so I wanted to share his first year now before I post some of his last session from me {well I hope it’s not the last} but for the “Baby’s First Year” it is! Here are my favorites from…

Meet Alannah…My Beautiful Niece…
She has her entire future ahead of her and I couldn’t more proud…such a hard worker and her dedication to education is beyond any parents’s dream. She came into town for me to photograph her for her senior pictures (back in the winter ~ yes that is how far I am STILL behind on my blog ha ha)…and I love how they turned out!

Changing One’s Perspective Can Be Make a Difference…
I feel photography is art…and love having almost every single photograph “off-entered”. But I also love changing my perspective. Photographing kids can be a difficult task to begin with but just changing one’s perspective can help give the emotion in the image…I love every form of photography…and almost every form of art, but when it comes to picture and the ones that grab my attention and love are those of a unique and different perspective. When its a single subject I will definitely make them off-centered…to let the subject draw you in…if the photograph was taken from a different or unique perspective I love having them upfront and centered. Almost…

Strongsville Ohio Family ~ Medina Ohio Family Photographer
Just two more 2012 photo sessions to blog and onto the new year ~ phew! FINALLY…I will get this caught up one way or another! Meet The Holdridge’s…Lil Sis’s Family ~ Medina Ohio Family Photography
I remember when my little sister was born…and how fast she {we} grew up…just in a blink of an eye…All of us siblings living in the same home and almost all of us moving out at the same time and loving when I would receive those phone calls asking if I can go pick her up. I used think we wouldn’t have a strong relationship like I do with my twin sister but we do…I enjoyed watching her grow into a beautiful young woman and witness her fall in love and start a family of her own. And what is so more enjoyable is to watch them be a “family”….love…

My Twin’s Kids…Love Them to Pieces
…as a twin I love seeing my sister in my own kids…yes we may look alike but its Val’s mannerism I see in my daughters at times and I love seeing some of me in hers. I love taking the time {I should do it more often} and taking my niece and nephew on a photo shoot. My nephew is a ham…LOVES getting his picture taken…we call him Mr. Poser…always ready for me to hit the shutter button…and Ally…love how she is growing up to be such a beautiful you girl…with spunk! Here are a few of my favorites from our last session.

Rusinko Family ~ Medina County Photographer ~ Family Photography
Ahhhh! I swear I have to be THE luckiest photographer ever! All of the familes and children that I get to photograph are so fun, outgoing and GORGEOUS…and this family is no exception! Meet the Rusinko family. The kids were so fun, energetic and truly a joy to photograph and I think their personalities really blend so well…and I just adored how they got along. When I get the chance to photograph families with children so close in age in just brings me back to when I was a little girl. I have such fond memories of my sisters and brother. All of us got along so well {I’m not…

Girlfriends for life
“A true friend shares the good times and help you out by listening during the bad times and is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.” ~ unknown author I can honestly say I have my “Lifetime” friends that have been there for me throughout my entire life. They have stayed constant more than the men in my life. Not to say I do not love my husband but there is nothing that compares to the bond between friends. I witness my daughter and her best friends are the majority of them have been there through her…

Meet the Mercuri Family ~ Medina Ohio Photographer ~ Family Photography
I have known the Mercuri family for a while now and what can I say…a warm and inviting family…and such love they have 🙂 And those boys…years from now look out young ladies…I can picture them now…very very handsome young men…lol…but let’s not get ahead of ourselves {sigh}…the last time I saw Jackson and Carter they were so itty bitty…where does the time go? Spring Break ~ at home
I always see posts on Facebook and twitter about warm weather vacation trips with the family…I have never personally taken the family during spring break…I am a HOT weather lover and feel any where down south would not be warm yet…let alone the ocean…am I crazy for thinking this? Although we stay home I do have the kids mention more than once that they are “bored”…Bored?…when I was a kid and there was no school…we went outside and played {I know I know I sound like my mother or father} but its true…and with computers, laptops, iPads, iPods, Kindles, Wii, PlayStations, and cable with how knows how many channels…they are…

Here are some of my favorites from her session.

The Gasparro Family ~ Medina Photographer ~ Medina Family Photography
One part of my job that I absolutely love is capturing moments to treasure forever…especially moments I personally can connect with. When I have family ask for a photo session I get all giddy inside and look forward to it like it was my own. There is no better person to describe “family” as there is Megan…my cousin…I love her to pieces…every year I have had to opportunity to capture those growing moments with her son Trey, but now that her family has grown I had the opportunity privilege to capture her entire family. Things didn’t go very well as planned. First it was finding boots to match {not my fault…

The Thompson Boys ~ Medina Ohio Photography ~ Medina Family Photography
I am a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to updating my blog. But this year I vowed to keep it updated…I think it is because it is easier to post the sneak peek on Facebook, and then I just continue to edit and forget to also post on my blog. I have been rebuilding my brand and getting my office redecorated {which by the way I love how its turning out…pictures to come}. I love the fact that Victoria Campbell Photography has grown into such a wonderful business through word of mouth and Facebook and have I mentions how much I love my job 🙂 Meet the Thompson…

Garfield Elementary Talent Show ~ Frankie’s last year
You know its bittersweet to see your children grow up…this is the last year my youngest daughter is in elementary school…this seems so unreal to me…my baby is going into middle school…where has the time gone? Every year she loved participating in the Garfield Talent show both performing and behind the scenes…as she got older I was happy when she decided to be the “performer” and got to see her up front and center…nothing like watching your own children and their friends grow into their own…couldn’t be more proud. Here are a few of my favorites for this years show.

Meet the Bartinelli’s ~ Medina Photography ~ Family Photography
I got so excited when I received the call from Nikki and said she wanted a mini session for her family…and that she had 3 boys!!! YAY for boys…I have had so many girls compared to boys…I was just a little thrilled to say the least…LOL And talk about well mannered children…oh my goodness…were they so well behaved….LOVE LOVE LOVE this family! Here are my favorites from their mini session.

New Family Members
It is not everyday you get new family members… pets that is. My daughter falls in love with each and every hamster she get…unfortunately they never last longer than a year and a half at the most! Ugh…in the beginning it was tough to see her saddness when she lost one…but love the fact when she is ready to get another one. In the beginning when she lost “Lucy” she immediately wanted another one. Then came “Peachy” which all she did was compare the two…that was first mistake number 1 ~ they were completely different hamsters with completely different dispositions…but nonetheless I fell in love with the little guys myself.…

Costanzo Family ~ Medina Ohio Photography ~ Family Photography
When Kris called me to book her shoot – I just had this feeling it was going to be a lot of fun…the excitement in her voice alone about doing a photo session ~ my kind of gal. On the day of our shoot – I have to admit… I was a bit nervous. I was heading to a location I had never been in forever and I ALWAYS scout out locations before a shoot…and the weather this time of year is so unpredicible…it ended up to be extremely nice…a bit windy but after roaming around the chill in the air seemed to have disappeared. Kris came completely prepared…with of…

Friends for Life ~ Children Photography
Many children have a favorite stuffed bunny, bear, monkey, or puppy or even a blanket they adore, and bring almost everywhere. God forbid this object gets lost or left at home. I have personally run out to pick up “Bunny” late at night because somehow it was “forgotten”…can’t even imagine how when these little “Friends for Life” are loved so much. My oldest daughter was attached to her blanket that belonged in her crib…a thick comforter that over the years turned into a see-through thin piece of material that faded terribly but you could tell it was well loved. My youngest daughter grew attached to a Precious Moment’s stuffed bunny…

Meet Taylor ~ Rootstown High School Photography ~ Medina Ohio Photographer…
…I cannot say it enough how blessed I have been to capture such beautifully spiritual high seniors {and GORGEOUS} as I have this past year! WOW…is there something in the water…I had the honor to photograph Taylor’s mom’s wedding a few months back and immediately fell in love with Taylor’s infectious smile and laugh…if you could only see her when she tells a story…her whole entire face lights up and when you see her smile ~ you smile…its contagious 🙂 . I was new to the Kent area as to where the good locations would be so I brought my daughter Makayla along because she goes to Kent State, but to…

Medina High School Senior Photography ~ High School Senior Photography ~ Sweet Adorable Bree ~ Medina Ohio
YAY! I am catching up on my blog…LOL I have a particular look I look for when searching for a model when I need one…and if I had to describe this model…Breana would fit the description to a “T”. Her gorgeous dark silky hair and her beautiful olive skin tone and her huge brown eyes…PERFECT…so when I got the call for a new high school senior photo session of course I get excited…and what’s more exciting is when you get to meet them in person…I love last minutes decisions when wardrobe is looked over and see their reactions to my visions and ideas…I had such fun with Bree on our…

Strongsville High School Senior ~ High School Senior Photography ~ Meet Carly…
…I watch my own kids grow up right before my eyes and I am amazed how fast it goes…when I was younger it never felt the year flew by…in fact I couldn’t wait for some of the years to fly by. I had the pleasure to photography two classmates’ daughter for her senior pictures. I went to school as earlier as elementary school with her mom and high school with both her mom and dad and was so excited when I got the phone call. Of course children look like their parents in some way or another but when you meet Carly she’s got the perfect combination of the both…

The Dread of January
I sit here very pleased with my business and my passion I have for what I do for a living but sometimes wonder if I can do more. I am trying to get my non-profit organization up and running but this is going to take time…my free photo shoots for family in needs and fundraisers are a start but it is harder to contact the fellow photographers and getting them on board is much more difficult that I anticipated. So I have been concentrated on my organization skills for my business right now. I currently have terrible bookkeeping skills and am amazed on how well I am doing {you should…

Meet Sean…Medina Photography…Medina High School Senior Photography
I have to say my favorite part of photography are the children…ALL ages…and the most enjoyment is high school seniors. I don’t say this because the younger kids are cuter and gigglier, I say this because I enjoy seeing them in who they’ve become and talk about their hopes and dreams. I get to witness two sides to these individuals… the first side is the shy quiet let’s-get-this-over-with individual to a happy-to-be-here and I’m-actually-having-fun individual who starts sharing his or her dreams. I remember this age so well…you expect so much out of your life and can’t wait to live it, that passion in your belly…mine was lost a while…

How a stranger can help you take time to reflect…
I find myself staying up later and later these days…no matter how early I say I am going to bed ~ it just never happens…and then I’m totally exhausted in the morning {I am not a morning person in the first place} and it makes it extremely difficult to combine work and getting the kids ready for school ~ quite the challenge when I need to be out the door to get them there on time. So after grabbing Frankie, Haley, and Harmonie bright and early and running to a location to check out lighting for a photo shoot one morning – I promised Dunkin Donuts after the location scouting…

I Always Need to be Inspired…
Here I am with the boredom of January. Not because of nothing to do or no places to go, but because this is the month that greets us photographers with fear…those photographers who have just recuperated from a busy season are hoping that 2013 will be good to us and they will persist to flourish in a business ~ more so than the year before; a business that has EXPANDED with talent and photographers popping up everywhere. This is the time I reflect on who I am as a photographer but mostly as an artist and where I want to be. I am constantly in the need to see a…
