I always like it when I get a chance to be at their family home…its much more personal…so much excitement and energy.  All the dresses were perfect and it honestly was a gorgeous day {minus some of the wind}. With a blink of an eye looking back time goes by ever too quickly. Take Emily for instant. I can remember her mom’s baby shower and how she was technically in labor that day…and when she was brought home from the hospital…so small…and when she FINALLY could say my name [well actually she said Wicky] but it just feels like it was yesterday. I have my own kids but I see the process daily…micro daily as that matter lol…

    Hello 2015

Well it is the second day of 2015 and I am sitting at my desk listening to music as I breeze through my business portfolio of  2014 and all of a sudden feel an overwhelming feeling of joy. As you know I am not one to make New Year’s resolutions ~ since that is pretty much the kiss of death for succeeding.  As from last years revelation {not resolution} I have promised myself to learned the art of living every day the best that I can. I am far from perfect, but part of my personality I strive to do everything so perfectly when to realize I am not perfect…

Changing One’s Perspective Can Be Make a Difference…

I feel photography is art…and love having almost every single photograph “off-entered”.  But I also love changing my perspective. Photographing kids can be a difficult task to begin with but just changing one’s perspective can help give the emotion in the image…I love every form of photography…and almost every form of art, but when it comes to picture and the ones that grab my attention and love are those of a unique and different perspective. When its a single subject I will definitely make them off-centered…to let the subject draw you in…if the photograph was taken from a different or unique perspective I love having them upfront and centered.  Almost…

Inside my world I get asked what equipment I use and what my work space looks like…by clients but mostly fellow photographers…I never really shared office photos because…well…it was a disaster area…a catch all ~ so to speak…but now I have claimed it my own and am loving every minute of it…and for once I truly believe I am organized {I am a Virgo so there are times I feel I am not organized enough}.  When I first started I bought a standard DSLR and a few kit lenses and felt that I could conquer the world…but once I kept shooting…I wanted more…so I upgraded to a full sensor camera.…

Meet Alayna ~ High School Senior Photography ~ Normandy High School Photography

One of the best part of my job is meeting new people. I cannot express enough how much I loved my photo session with Alayna and her mom Deb…such wonderful people! I felt like I’ve known them forever… they were so warm and welcoming and such fun to talk to.  Alayna has so much going for her and I wish her well in all that she endeavors…she has gone through so much already and I know its all yet to come…and mom couldn’t be more prouder of her beautiful daughter!  Here are some of my favorites from her session.

Newborns run the show ~ Meet Baby Owen ~ Newborn Photography ~ Avon Ohio Photography

I talk to clients all the time about how newborns truly “run” the show during the photo session. Some sleep the entire time…some cry the majority of the time…some and “wide” awake during their session…some are even hungry while others…well…pee and poop during the session (this is the most common of course ~ LOL) but I never had so much work as with this little guy…sweet adorable Owen. He wasn’t crying a lot or did he sleep a lot…and he didn’t stay awake a lot…he had the mixture of all three…he made me work for it… LOL  He just wanted to lay and not be put into any positions…PERIOD…like this…

The Gasparro Family ~ Medina Photographer ~ Medina Family Photography

One part of my job that I absolutely love is capturing moments to treasure forever…especially moments I personally can connect with. When I have family ask for a photo session I get all giddy inside and look forward to it like it was my own. There is no better person to describe “family” as there is Megan…my cousin…I love her to pieces…every year I have had to opportunity to capture those growing moments with her son Trey, but now that her family has grown I had the opportunity privilege to capture her entire family. Things didn’t go very well as planned. First it was finding boots to match {not my fault…

The Thompson Boys ~ Medina Ohio Photography ~ Medina Family Photography

I am a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to updating my blog.  But this year I vowed to keep it updated…I think it is because it is easier to post the sneak peek on Facebook, and then I just continue to edit and forget to also post on my blog. I have been rebuilding my brand and getting my office redecorated {which by the way I love how its turning out…pictures to come}. I love the fact that Victoria Campbell Photography has grown into such a wonderful business through word of mouth and Facebook and have I mentions how much I love my job 🙂 Meet the Thompson…

Garfield Elementary Talent Show ~ Frankie’s last year

You know its bittersweet to see your children grow up…this is the last year my youngest daughter is in elementary school…this seems so unreal to me…my baby is going into middle school…where has the time gone? Every year she loved participating in the Garfield Talent show both performing and behind the scenes…as she got older I was happy when she decided to be the “performer” and got to see her up front and center…nothing like watching your own children and their friends grow into their own…couldn’t be more proud. Here are a few of my favorites for this years show.

Meet the Bartinelli’s ~ Medina Photography ~ Family Photography

I got so excited when I received the call from Nikki and said she wanted a mini session for her family…and that she had 3 boys!!! YAY for boys…I have had so many girls compared to boys…I was just a little thrilled to say the least…LOL  And talk about well mannered children…oh my goodness…were they so well behaved….LOVE LOVE LOVE this family!  Here are my favorites from their mini session.

    The Campbell Sisters

Just to get some background history for these two sisters I need to mention I had a door close on my life and for years kept wanting to look at that closed door to later realize I was not doing myself any favors for me or for my children. I have learned after one door closes another door opens and I am an inch closer to a better tomorrow every day.  I have since then found new love and today my life is blessed with an extended family that was so unexpected.  I couldn’t of asked for better in-laws than I do have…and yes they are true family in every essence…

    New Family Members

It is not everyday you get new family members… pets that is.  My daughter falls in love with each and every hamster she get…unfortunately they never last longer than a year and a half at the most!  Ugh…in the beginning it was tough to see her saddness when she lost one…but love the fact when she is ready to get another one. In the beginning when she lost “Lucy” she immediately wanted another one. Then came “Peachy” which all she did was compare the two…that was first mistake number 1 ~ they were completely different hamsters with completely different dispositions…but nonetheless I fell in love with the little guys myself.…

Costanzo Family ~ Medina Ohio Photography ~ Family Photography

When Kris called me to book her shoot – I just had this feeling it was going to be a lot of fun…the excitement in her voice alone about doing a photo session ~ my kind of gal. On the day of our shoot – I have to admit… I was a bit nervous. I was heading to a location I had never been in forever and I ALWAYS scout out locations before a shoot…and the weather this time of year is so unpredicible…it ended up to be extremely nice…a bit windy but after roaming around the chill in the air seemed to have disappeared. Kris came completely prepared…with of…

Friends for Life ~ Children Photography

Many children have a favorite stuffed bunny, bear, monkey, or puppy or even a blanket they adore, and bring almost everywhere.  God forbid this object gets lost or left at home. I have personally run out to pick up “Bunny” late at night because somehow it was “forgotten”…can’t even imagine how when these little “Friends for Life” are loved so much. My oldest daughter was attached to her blanket that belonged in her crib…a thick comforter that over the years turned into a see-through thin piece of material that faded terribly but you could tell it was well loved. My youngest daughter grew attached to a Precious Moment’s stuffed bunny…

Meet Courtney…Medina High School Senior Photographer…Black River High School Senior…

…a couple of years ago I took pictures of Courtney’s sister’s senior pictures and remember sweet little Courtney…what I remember the most is how I admired how she looked up to her big sister…what I didn’t expect to see when I got to see the family again is how much she has matured into a beautiful young woman…what a huge difference a few small years does for young girls these days…geesh…my goodness has she grown up…and blossomed into such a pretty young gal. What was also so touching during the session was when her big sister got teary-eyed watching her baby sister do her senior pictures…it was so nice to…

Meet Taylor ~ Rootstown High School Photography ~ Medina Ohio Photographer…

…I cannot say it enough how blessed I have been to capture such beautifully spiritual high seniors {and GORGEOUS} as I have this past year!  WOW…is there something in the water…I had the honor to photograph Taylor’s mom’s wedding a few months back and immediately fell in love with Taylor’s infectious smile and laugh…if you could only see her when she tells a story…her whole entire face lights up and when you see her smile ~ you smile…its contagious 🙂 . I was new to the Kent area as to where the good locations would be so I brought my daughter Makayla along because she goes to Kent State, but to…

Medina High School Senior Photography ~ High School Senior Photography ~ Sweet Adorable Bree ~ Medina Ohio

YAY!  I am catching up on my blog…LOL I have a particular look I look for when searching for a model when I need one…and if I had to describe this model…Breana would fit the description to a “T”.  Her gorgeous dark silky hair and her beautiful olive skin tone and her huge brown eyes…PERFECT…so when I got the call for a new high school senior photo session of course I get excited…and what’s more exciting is when you get to meet them in person…I love last minutes decisions when wardrobe is looked over and see their reactions to my visions and ideas…I had such fun with Bree on our…

Blended Family ~ Family Photography ~ Avon Lake Family Photography

Coming from experience with blended families on both sides ~ my mom’s and my dad’s…and in the past 6 years my very own…it can be a rough road ahead when blending two families together. I have been blessed with a stress-free transition and also love witnessing it through others.  I had the pleasure to photograph a soon-to-be blended family this fall. Kerry and Iain had a son of their own from their previous marrige and you would have thought they grew up together in the same house all along…they are truly brothers in every essence of the word.  I had the pleasure to capture their wedding as well and part…

Here is a sneak peek at sweet baby Madison. She was truly such a joy! And what makes it even better was witnesses the proud baby brother and the glow on the new mommy’s face!  Love these moments…here are a few of my favorites.

    The Dread of January

I sit here very pleased with my business and my passion I have for what I do for a living but sometimes wonder if I can do more. I am trying to get my non-profit organization up and running but this is going to take time…my free photo shoots for family in needs and fundraisers are a start but it is harder to contact the fellow photographers and getting them on board is much more difficult that I anticipated. So I have been concentrated on my organization skills for my business right now. I currently have terrible bookkeeping skills and am amazed on how well I am doing {you should…
